Research

Fellows are expected to participate in scholarly activities and encouraged to join or start clinical surgical research and quality improvement projects. Fellows should participate in the design, execution or written summary of at least one research project, which may lead to publication and/or presentation at a regional or national meeting.

Trainees are provided with the following resources:

  • Faculty mentoring and support from multidisciplinary faculty, the director of surgical research and the St. Luke’s Research Institute
  • Financial and staff support
  • Statistical support
  • Participation in the SVS VQI Registry program, with both Bethlehem and Allentown campuses receiving the highest 3-star rating, the only facilities to receive this rating in the Mid-Atlantic region
